With its sandy beaches, blue waters, spicy thai cuisine and wide variety of thrilling
adventures like snorkeling and diving, Phuket, is unarguably the most famous and largest island of Thailand. The exceptionally warm sunny climate all year round, Phuket is the ultimate destination for adventure, relaxation and serenity. As a short one hour flight from Bangkok, Phuket is also very easily accessible. Here is a list of things you can do on your trip to Phuket:
● Always brimming with a bustling beach crowd, Patong Beach is the longest beach in
Phuket. Although it’s difficult to find a quiet spot, this place is more like a social hub
and the shopping activity would keep you occupied. The Amari Phuket, the best and
most luxurious hotel of Phuket, perches on the headland of the beach, overlooking
the sea.
● Adorned with palms and casuarinas, Kata beach is much more peaceful than the
Patong beach with lush hillsides on either ends hugging the beautifully curving bay. A
small islet right offshore the beach is a suitable spot for snorkeling. Rest assured if
you are hungry from all the thrilling snorkeling, you can eat local delicacies from the
stalls on the beach.
● Taking a stroll through Phuket Town with the very scenic bay, you can tour past the
bustling crowd into various hotels, massage parlours, restaurants, etc. The
infrastructure is vastly influenced by chinese immigrants with a slight blend of
portuguese aesthetic, providing a rather interesting contrast to traditional Thai styles.
You can visit the Sino- Portuguese shrines and temples like the Jui Tui Shrine and
visit the interactive 3D Phuket Trickeye Museum.
● To cover up the bewilderingly stunning seascape surrounding Phuket, an island tour

once you reach the summit. This place is rather peaceful and serene compared to
the rest of the tourist attractions.
● Venture out to the beautiful village of Rawai, to experience a more authentic side of
Phuket where you can have a glimpse of the Moken lifestyle, a local tribe of ‘sea
gypsies’ who root themselves to the islands of Andaman and Nicobar and remain
aggressively committed to their beliefs and customs. Most live a semi-nomadic life on
land while others live by the sea.

LAS VEGAS : THE ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

Worldwide famous for its plethora of strip clubs, casinos, shopping malls, hotels and the never ending night life, Las Vegas really lives upto the hype of being deemed as the Sin City of the world. Literally located and built on what was formerly a desert, Las Vegas was originally inhabited by the Spaniards and established in 1905 as the mecca of the wildest form of entertainment you can think of.

Every night in Vegas is the ultimate happening nightlife experience with millions of dollars being gambled away at casinos at the Strip, the area down south harboring major clubs, hotels, restaurants and casinos. Not to forget, the iconic replicas of extremely popular buildings like the Eiffel Tower from France, Sphinx from Egypt and the Taj Mahal from India that Las Vegas houses to bling up its iconic existence. Themed fountains, zooming cars and blinding cars are a generic occurrence in this region, sending bewildering waves of thrill down your spine. With poker, bingo, roulette, etc., being played at casinos, thousands of people try their luck in numerous gambling based games.

If you have the budget to eat, splurge, gamble and intend to get high on life, Las Vegas is your best friend because ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!’ Almost every hotel in Las Vegas has something to offer visitors. SOON INDIANS CAN COMMUTE BY TRAIN TO NEPAL AND BANGLADESH WITH UPCOMING RAIL PROJECTS

Till date, India was connected with Nepal and Bangladesh by air and by road but commuters and travel enthusiasts will soon be able to avail these countries by train with all the exciting initiatives of the upcoming rail projects taken by the Northeast Frontier Railways or the NFR which is responsible for operating railways and executing projects in the North Eastern States that links the nation to Bangladesh and Nepal. The operations of this initiative are expected to begin in the next upcoming 9 months and a total of 967.5 crore INR is to be invested in the project with a hope to cut down on Travel Time. Currently in charge of executing 2 international railway projects, the NFR has included the new 18.6 km long railway line from Jogbani in Bihar to Biratnagar in Nepa and the 12.03 km long railway line stretching from Agartala in West Bengal to Akhaura in Bangladesh. With an estimation of 967.5 crores, this Jogbani- Nepal project is hoped to be completed by the end of September 2022 but the Agartala- Bangladesh project is already nearing its completion. It is strange to think that it took more than 55 years for the Rail link between Bengal and Bangladesh to revive and resume but the work of these exclusive railway projects have been carried on a full fledged swing and due to these, the landlocked northeastern states will have better exposure to tourism and connectivity with its neighbours. Alongside promoting tourism and easing travel options for frequent commuters of this line, the Agartala- Akhaura international railway line will also facilitate an easier method of ferrying goods to and from both the countries which will cut down on import- export rates as the complexity of distance and time will significantly be reduced due to the railways.

WORLD’S LONGEST BUST VOYAGE FROM DELHI TO LONDON TO BEGIN IN 2021

Travel enthusiasts from all over the nation have kept all their plans on hold due to the raging pandemic which has been a real bummer and had temporarily put travelling on a halt because of lockdown constraints and covid protocols differing from place to place. But travel buffs of the nation can finally revive their inner adventurer for what could be the longest bus voyage of the world, organised by a Gurugram- based travel company named Adventures Overland, that decided to start a bus ride across 18 countries in a total span of 20000 kms stretching from Delhi to London. This intriguing bus voyage can take up to 70 days or more and takes inspiration from the 1957 London to Kolkata bus ride to create an opportunity for travel enthusiasts for an exceptional experience to explore the nook and crannies of Asia following up to the scenic wonders in Europe in a rather unique way. The first ride is rumored
to begin sometime around the coming year in May allowing not more than 20 passengers, booking of which will be confirmed on a first come- first serve basis.

The Adventure Overland will begin its journey from Delhi and travel towards east in Imphal, following its way to Thailand and Laos. It will also explore the Chinese border following towards Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. After traversing through these scenic routes, it promises to make its way through the European part of Russia before touching the road that spans into Poland, Czech Republic Germany and Belgium, respectively and thus ending its enthralling journey right in London. A flexible option of a lesser time or days of travel can be opted by passengers who face an inconvenience to travel 70 days in this bus voyage. This well curated trip will also include an expedition through significant historic cities of Chengdu, Bukhara, Moscow, Tashkent, Samarkand, Frankfurt, Prague and Brussels. This unconventional expedition is a true boost in tourism choices of the country intriguing travellers to travel in a more convenient and compact way.

Making any international trip takes a lot of things into consideration from choosing a destination to making it to the destination, there is a lot that takes place.

But here is my journey as a traveler to amazing destinations around the world that made me say yes to adding more destinations to my world tour bucket list.

My travel journey to each country gave me a different experience, from its culture to its food, everything you see is different from one place to another. Here is a glimpse to all my world tour destinations

Singapore

Even though Singapore is one of the most expensive cities in the world, it has also earned other accolades for being the best-planned city, the cleanest city and most possibly the most entertaining city.

With a plethora of places to go and things to do, Lion city houses the world’s first safari park for nocturnal animals, the largest rooftop infinity pool, age-old ancient temples, impressive architecture, extraordinary gardens, stunning world-class performance venues, shopping streets and undoubtedly a delectable spread of different cuisines.

With a fascinating melding between the historic and the modern, this intriguing city will leave you in awe making this my World tour checklist spot 1

The world’s tallest twin structures, the Petronas Twin Towers, are LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE CITY KUALA LUMPUR, majestic by day and dazzling at night. Cesar Pelli & Associates designed the 88-story buildings, which are Malaysia’s proudest icon and architectural wonder, and are lined with an endless shopping and touring experience.

Maldives is nothing short of a paradise. The sparkling white sandy beaches, the pristine blue waters and luxury resorts make it a haven for travellers across the world. From adventure water sports to having a relaxing, laid back stay, Maldives offers an assortment of experiences to everyone.

The deep blue waters and beautiful beaches had been on my bucket list too. On my birthday, I decided to a trip to the Maldives with my childhood friends. We stayed at the beautiful Meeru Island Resort & Spa. This resort offers a number of tourist activities that includes water sports & excursions. This makes this place a great destination to add to your world tour checklist.

Dubai

Dubai attracts visitors similarly like light attracts beetles. It is best to visit Dubai during the winter months from November to April as the summer heat is usually unbearable and the months of January and February experience strong traffic literally everywhere due to the Dubai Shopping Festival.

But while you are in Dubai, you must take your own sweet time to visit the ravishing Burj Khalifa and explore it to the fullest, making it a must-visit place for your world tour

Amsterdam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The historic buildings, beautiful museums, canals and shopping districts draws visitors from all age groups, across the world. After a thorough research on Netherlands, I booked my tickets and packed my bags to the Venice of the North, Amsterdam!

what’s Seville, the southern Spanish capital is famous for, of course it’s their historic churches and palaces, Moorish buildings, flamenco dancing, and more. If you’re interested in tapas or history, you cannot feel bored in this Andalusian city.

Seville is an amazing artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It’s a city full of architecture, history, and wonderful food. What else do you need for a perfect getaway in a wonderful city, I loved my visit to Seville, well who wouldn’t.

The city has some famous churches, winding streets, and great flamenco dancers. This is also a big university town and is extremely popular with people studying abroad. I love this city’s architecture and youthful vibe.

Budapest

From the prohibition speakeasies to the bathhouses turned bars of Ancient Greece, a tribute to the perceptiveness of mankind is the art of serving alcohol at the most unconventional spaces and this liquor- filled perceptiveness is demonstrated best in the contemporary city of Budapest, Hungary.

Dilapidated pre-war buildings like banks, factories, warehouses or homes that were saved from heap scraps and turned into unique and extremely cool bars, now very famously known as the ‘Ruin Bars’ ,has taken over this city by a surge over the past 15 years and is a huge tourist attraction due to the generous pour of alcohol and to experience and witness the local histories of these bars.

Bhutan

Bhutan is a charming little country located in south- Asia right in between India and China. The entire country is covered in pristine pine forests and dotted by picturesque Buddhist monasteries, temples, Dzong fortresses and mystical mountains. The rich Buddhist culture is evident in their serene way of life and alluring environment that still remains untouched by technology and globalisation.

Every year for my birthday, I end up going on a trip to Bhutan. Last year for my birthday trip, I decided to travel to Bhutan from India and checked off one more destination on my world travel bucket list for ‘n’th time.

Sri Lanka

The beautiful tear drop shaped country of Sri Lanka is a favourite travel destination for Indians because of its sandy beaches, scenic landscapes, flavourful food, exotic wildlife and heritage structures.

Travellers come in for the never-ending beaches and fall in love with this infinite paradise that offers something for everyone in terms of fun, relaxation and adventure. I spent 7 blissful days holidaying in Sri Lanka, exploring Ella, a hill station and Mirissa, a beach town.
