One of the top tourist places in Karnataka, Jog falls cascade down from a height of 830 ft. What makes the Jog waterfall unique is its un-tiered flow that means it plunges directly into the water without making contact with the rocks.

India’s second-highest plunge waterfall is a very popular tourist destination. It is expected that this world-class makeover project will increase tourism, attracting people from far and wide.

This project is likely to cost around 165 crores INR. This project will add several features to the Jog waterfall, adding to its beauty and charm. Some of the expected additions include up-gradation of the already existing viewing deck.

A new viewing deck is also on the cards offering mesmerising views of the surrounding areas. Apart from this, a science park will be built for the kids. Tourists can also expect an amphitheatre where cultural events and activities will be organised.

However, the main highlight is going to be the ropeway. This 400-metre ropeway will let the tourists enjoy the surreal beauty while hanging up the valley.

Under this project, the boating facility from Jungle Lodges to the Vandabailu Padmavathi Temple will start. This will not only lessen the time taken to commute but will also offer excellent opportunities to soak in the splendour of the place.

The area will be lined with essential facilities like washrooms and cafeterias as well.
